Tech guy finds work with amazing dentist in DC
My brother repairs computers on a freelance basis as a business. It is his full time job and he is currently looking for extra work. I asked him if he was interested in doing some work for my local DC cosmetic dentistry surgery. He was a bit confused until I explained that they have a network of computers which link the different rooms to the reception. When a person has been treated they use the computer to send a message to reception to tell them what treatment they had and how much they have to pay which means that the administrators can update their records and bill the customer. They also use their system for appointments and to tell the DC cosmetic dentist when their next patients have arrived. My brother was not too sure about doing this type of work to start with as he is more used to visiting people in their own homes and sorting out their single computers or small home networks. But in the end he decided that it could be quite a good area to get into. Working in a small office would not be that different to working on home computers and working on the computers of cosmetic dentist in DC could be a new niche market for him. He has decided to do the work and see where it leads.
