Cabin Rentals Keeps Campers out of Elements; Just as Much Fun, more ‘Homey Comforts’
Many people enjoy the great outdoors with such activities as camping, hiking and mountain biking but when it comes to sleeping outdoors, they draw the line and prefer to call ahead to reserve a cabin rental. Sleeping outside, either under the stars or in a tent is not for everyone and some people may be frightened of wildlife. Bigger animals such as bears or mountain lions – depending on where a person is camping – or the smaller everyday ‘critters’ like bugs, rodents and other animals sometimes scare people who are invading the animals’ space.
There are many things for a family or couple to do in the great outdoors around a camp ground or set of cabins. There is fishing – both from a boat and fly fishing – lying on the beach, soaking up some sun, as long as a person wears sunscreen and other protection; hiking through the woods on trails; mountain biking; swimming in the lake and at night there is always gathering around a blazing campfire to tell ghost stories and build those time honored chocolaty traditional treats – smores.
There are many people who are the adventurous kind and like to sleep out under the stars in just a sleeping bag, others prefer more protection from the elements and bug population such as that provided by a tent, while still others prefer the extreme comfort that only cabin rentals provide because they are the next best thing to being home but with the great outdoors at the back door anytime one wants to venture out.
Camping brings families closer together because there is less technology involved, less electronic games and cell phones that the younger kids need to bring along and be connected to all the time. Kids and parents actually get to enjoy each other’s company and talk about what is going on in each other’s lives, what they are doing back in the real world and reconnect with one another.
If preparation for the camping trip is done ahead of time, in addition to everyone sharing the ‘chores,’ then everyone can enjoy the trip without having to worry too much about what needs to be done and who needs to do what.
